Overall, Mark’s blend of product vision, hands-on leadership, and strategic partnership development positions him as a key driver of growth and innovation towards transforming mobility and consumer behaviour.
Mark brings a wealth of style, connection, and substance to Zimbl’s ambitions at the forefront of autonomous mobility and our #communitythroughmobility hubs and our journey to ubiquity for that vision.
We have recently filled our £10m Series A fundraising with awesome strategic venture partners (subject to due diligence) and will soon be able to update everyone about that. In the meantime, we have a clear vision and are all excited to have someone of Mark’s calibre to help us iterate our game-changing new business model and the Zimbl product roadmap.
Mark’s experience within the Silicon Valley venture community will also help us at our Series B raise, when autonomous and AI are more integral to our future and likely to benefit from the talent pool in the US.
The Zimbl #communitythroughmobility ecosystem unites three business areas traditionally treated as incongruous and unrelated: power, mobility & community. To deliver meaningful, sustainable, and user-friendly MaaS (Mobility as a Service), we need proper infrastructure in terms of multi-modal transport options and the renewable power technologies to support them. We’ve proven we can provide a reliable alternative to your second car at the very least and some of our users don’t own a car at all. Why own a car that sits on your drive most of the time when you can take a holiday every year instead or spend the money on improving your home.
Providing that comfort and security means having a Zimbl team on your doorstep, so we’re building Z-Café’s and Z-Work co-working spaces with other retail brands hosted in larger locations, so we become part of your community.
For developers, we help protect their reputation and legacy because our sites are staffed seven days a week and it is in our interests that our communities are safe, and the equipment is 100% maintained under long-term contracts.
Whether we are operating a town hub or a community hub on a new residential or commercial scheme, the Zimbl technology is at the heart of a seamless user experience.
For the time being in the UK that means we’ll deliver a car to your doorstep at the click of a few buttons in the app. Not far from now though, a car will come from our local community hub at your command and take you autonomously wherever you want to go.
Mark and his family live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a global hub of technological innovation. California leads the nation in electric vehicle adoption, accounting for over 25% of all EVs in the U.S., and the Bay Area is at the forefront of this shift. With some of the highest electric vehicle registration rates and extensive public charging infrastructure, the region provides Mark with first-hand exposure to advanced mobility trends, deepening his expertise in sustainable transportation solutions and future-oriented technologies.
